PS3 on the horizon

I suppose everybody know what is in the picture. As the name PS3, you should know it is the 3rd generation of Playstation. This baby will be launch at the mid of this November. Some hardcore gamers are already start lining up in front of the store a few days ago. Yes, they are waiting to buy the new PS3 for more than a week. I'm not suggest that they are crazy nor I inspire their spirit. But I believe the world of gaming has taken a great depth into the society, thanks to the exponential development on IT and also globalization. Few years ago, game console and PC play a different role. Game console is merely on playing games but for PC, games only as a suppliment. Because PC is doing more than games, hardware requirement like Proccessor speed, ram and capacity is always advance than the game console, until this year. PS3 with 3.2Ghz proccessor, 512 total ram, 60GB hardisk, network, USB and HDTV support already bypass some new dekstop spec. Where people use PC to watch movie and pictures, browsing, sharing data and play games, now you can do all this with game console. I'm sure game console have aggressive took a great chunk of the market share that PC used to have. Not only that, game console can play movie on latest disc format like HD-DVD and Blu-ray will surely kick some conventional movie player aside and claim itself as the 'king of the living room'. X360, another game console launch earlier than PS3, already impress gamers with advance visual effect. Wii, Nintendo new release, taking a different path compare to PS3 and X360, aiming at casual gamers and families, claims to took over and beyound what he have lost for his last 2 consoles, N64 and GameCube. Beside, another influence and also the most consevertive is the market share in man's heart. For decades, housewives have to fight with football to gain attention from her man. Now the new challenger, the game console with even more powerful proccesor, we will have more desperate housewives in the future.
